Prosthetic Limbs for Refugee Children – Surgery & Rehabilitation

Lighting Up Lives Solar Energy for Refugee Families (1)
About the Project

This project aims to provide life-changing support for refugee children who have lost limbs due to war injuries or accidents. Through funding essential surgical procedures and the installation of high-quality prosthetic limbs, the project seeks to restore mobility, independence, and dignity to affected children.

Children living in conflict zones and refugee camps are among the most vulnerable groups. The trauma of limb loss not only impacts their physical abilities but also their psychological well-being, social inclusion, and access to education. Without prosthetic limbs, these children face a future of dependency, isolation, and limited opportunity.

Project Objectives:

  • Provide full medical and surgical assessments for eligible children.

  • Cover the costs of necessary surgeries related to limb loss.

  • Supply and fit custom prosthetic limbs tailored to each child’s needs.

  • Offer physical therapy and rehabilitation to ensure proper use and adjustment.

  • Conduct regular follow-ups and provide replacement prosthetics as the children grow.

Long-Term Impact:
This initiative helps children reintegrate into school and society with renewed confidence. It enables them to walk, play, and learn like other children, breaking the barriers imposed by disability and displacement. Each successful operation is a step towards a more hopeful and empowered future.
