This humanitarian project aims to provide infant formula and specialized nutritional products to refugee babies, with a particular focus on families living in poverty and mothers who are unable to breastfeed due to health, trauma, or malnutrition.
The ongoing refugee crisis has severely impacted access to basic necessities, especially for vulnerable groups like infants. Many refugee families live in temporary shelters or overcrowded apartments without stable income or access to healthcare, putting babies at risk of malnutrition and preventable illness.
Through this project, we will identify and support the most vulnerable refugee families by distributing high-quality baby formula on a regular basis. The project is implemented with the support of local health professionals and aid workers, ensuring that the distributed formula is age-appropriate and meets medical guidelines.
We also plan to include basic nutritional education for mothers and caregivers to help them understand proper feeding techniques, hygiene practices, and warning signs of infant malnutrition.
By securing consistent access to baby formula, this project helps ensure healthy early development for refugee babies and reduces the emotional and financial burden on struggling mothers.
Objectives:
Ensure adequate nutrition for infants who cannot be breastfed.
Reduce health risks linked to poor nutrition among refugee babies.
Empower mothers with the knowledge needed to care for their children.
Target Group: Refugee infants (0–12 months) and their caregivers, especially those in low-income households or without access to adequate health services.
Key Activities:
Procuring and distributing medically approved infant formula.
Identifying eligible families through partner NGOs and clinics.
Providing basic training and follow-up support to mothers and caregivers.
Coordinating with pediatricians for infants with special nutritional needs.
