Displacement due to war and conflict has left countless children in temporary shelters and refugee camps across the region without access to basic educational tools. These children often face not only emotional and psychological trauma, but also practical barriers to continuing their education — one of the most critical being the lack of school supplies.
Problem:
Many displaced families are unable to afford school bags, notebooks, pens, or even pencils. This lack of supplies discourages children from attending school and leads to high dropout rates, further exacerbating cycles of poverty and vulnerability.
Project Overview:
The “Back-to-School Kits for Displaced Children” initiative provides children affected by displacement with fully equipped school bags to support their return to the classroom and encourage their continued education.
Each child receives a school bag containing:
6 notebooks
5 pens and pencils
1 ruler
1 eraser
1 sharpener
1 pencil case
Coloring pencils or crayons
A durable backpack
Objectives:
Distribute at least 2,000 fully equipped school kits to displaced children.
Encourage school attendance and help reduce dropout rates.
Ease the financial burden on families living in poverty or displacement.
Create a sense of normalcy and hope among children affected by conflict.
Target Group:
Displaced children aged 6–14 years living in camps or conflict-affected regions with limited access to education and humanitarian services.
Activities:
Procurement of quality educational supplies and bags.
Coordination with local partners and schools in displacement areas.
Organization of distribution campaigns in collaboration with teachers and community leaders.
Follow-up and reporting to measure attendance and feedback from families.
